Kirsten Svaleson DC, CCSP at Medallus Urgent Care

Kirsten has always known that she wanted to help people from a young age, however she was unsure of which avenue to take. Kirsten went to NDSU to pursue a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology. During and after college, she was a personal trainer where she found value in helping her clients reach their goals. She was able to rehab existing injuries, improve health through a holistic approach and help her clients better themselves mentally and physically. This is when she realized that the chiropractic profession would allow her the opportunity to help people in a unique way.

Kirsten received her Doctor of Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. She received extensive experience in soft tissue modalities, rehabilitation and corrective exercises. 

She is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP®). She has completed 100+ hours of post-graduate classes, both online and hands-on as well as passed a national exam to be certified. The classes included concussion management, sports-specific evaluation & treatment, and emergency care. As of the Summer of 2023, she has taken Continuing Education classes to become trained in Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST 1).

Kirsten’s passion is to provide her clients with quality care and education to assist them in reaching their goals and to provide the tools needed to take care of their body. She has had the privilege of working with various types of patients. Whether you are a “weekend warrior”, dedicated athlete or someone who wants to be able to lift their child or grandchild, she is here to keep you healthy so that you can do what you love.

She also works with patients who spend most of their days sitting at a desk, educating them on ergonomics and providing corrective exercises. Additionally, Kirsten has also worked with women who experience low back pain during pregnancy.

Kirsten is originally from Fargo and loves bringing her knowledge and passion to her community. When not working, she loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys staying active, playing intramural volleyball, spending time at the gym or being outside.
